In December 2008, we held the 1st Congress of the Horse Racing Industry of the Americas, with the support of IFHA (International Federation of Horseracing Autthorities) and of the most important institutions of our region. The success achieved consolidated an event of excellence which, thanks to the participation of international personalities of the highest level, marked a turning point in the industry, and enabled a fluent interchange of experiences, definitely setting a trend that today we see reflected in many daily actions of the horse racing activity.

It is a pleasure for us to announce today the 2nd Congress of the Horse Racing Industry of the Americas to be held in Montevideo city, Uruguay next 14th-15th November. As in the previous Congress, excellence will be our hallmark in this event which will definitely grip the attention of the horse racing world.
The topics and the global dynamics have driven us once again to call for the world top opinion leaders to contribute with their vision, updating the analysis three years later, in view of a new design in the future.

The venue for such an important event will be Hipódromo Nacional de Maroñas, a symbol of the Uruguayan horse racing industry, which upon its reopening a few years ago has become one of the most important racetracks in Latin America.

The program will include plenary sessions with the participation of distinguished panelists from the regional and international setting, who will address different issues related to the importance of the racing industry at present, and its projections in a globalized environment.  A universe of topics from marketing and new technologies to drugs, press and simulcasting, as well as the synergy of the public-private complement, will be some of the attractive presentations. The analysis of successful cases will offer concrete visions of opportunities and potential for growth and development.
Among the main speakers, the attendance of the highest governmental authorities and International Associations has already been confirmed.

The closing conference will include a gala dinner in the in the rooms of the centennial Teatro Solís de Montevideo. This will certainly be a favorable moment for fellowship, to celebrate the richness of interchange and convergence among the principal opinion leaders of the world racing industry.

LARC, the leading company in general consultancy of the sector and in racing signal broadcasting within the region, along with IFHA sponsorship, invites all the industry representatives to participate, trusting we will develop new horizons in the integration of the industry along the continent and within the international sphere.
